Bloating.
Fatigue.
Brain fog.
Hormone-related changes.
These are some of the most common concerns I hear from women.
And while it can be tempting to search for the “best supplement” or the “right diet” for these symptoms, the truth is that symptoms don’t always tell us what’s causing them.
In fact, two women can have nearly identical symptoms and need completely different approaches.
Meet Lisa
Lisa is 42.
She’s busy – juggling work and family and often grabs a coffee before eating breakfast. By mid-afternoon she’s exhausted, craving sugar, and feeling bloated. Her doctor tells her everything looks normal, but she knows something still isn’t right.
After reviewing Lisa’s health history and daily habits, we discover:
- She’s skipping breakfast
- Not eating enough protein
- Running on caffeine
- Going long periods without eating
- Exercising hard despite feeling depleted
In her case, the solution isn’t advanced testing.
It’s strengthening the foundations.
Once we support blood sugar balance, nourishment, digestion, and recovery, many of her symptoms begin to improve.
Meet Jennifer
Jennifer is 48.
She meal preps, hits her daily protein goals, and has exercised consistently for years. She’s already eliminated foods and tried multiple supplements, yet she’s still tired, bloated and frustrated.
Jennifer is already:
- Eating balanced meals
- Prioritizing protein
- Sleeping reasonably well
- Exercising appropriately
- Has been consistent with healthy habits
Despite doing “all the right things,” she still doesn’t feel well.
This is where I start asking different questions.
The Right Starting Point Matters
When foundational habits are already in place and symptoms persist, it may be time to investigate deeper.
This could include looking at:
- Bloodwork patterns
- Digestive function
- Gut health
- Hormone-related factors
- Inflammation
- Nutrient status
The goal isn’t testing for the sake of testing.
The goal is understanding why symptoms continue despite a strong foundation.
Why Generic Advice Often Falls Short
One of the biggest frustrations I hear is:
“I’ve tried everything.”
When someone tells me they’ve “tried everything,” what I often find is that they’ve tried many different solutions—but no one has helped them determine what THEIR body actually needs.
The same supplement that helps one person may do very little for another.
The same diet that works for one person may not address what’s driving symptoms for someone else.
That’s because symptoms are only part of the story.
How I Think About Client Care
I don’t believe everyone needs extensive testing.
And I don’t believe everyone simply needs to do more…more food restrictions, more supplements, more exercise.
My job is to help determine the most appropriate starting point for each individual.
Sometimes that means focusing on foundational nutrition and lifestyle habits.
Sometimes it means taking a deeper look via bloodwork or functional testing.
The key is understanding which approach makes sense for YOUR unique situation.
The Goal
If you’re feeling bloated, tired, or not quite like yourself, remember:
The goal isn’t to find the latest health trend and try them at random. The goal is to understand what your body is trying to tell you.
Because two women can have the same symptoms and need completely different solutions.
If you’re tired of guessing, trying random supplements, or wondering whether you need more support or deeper investigation, that’s exactly what my Discovery Calls are for.
Together, we’ll talk through your symptoms, health history, and current habits to determine whether your body needs stronger foundations, deeper investigation, or a combination of both.
Because the biggest breakthrough isn’t finding another solution, it’s finally finding the right starting point.
