About Jamie

Hey there, I’m Jamie. I am a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP) with additional training as a: Restorative Wellness Practitioner (RWP), Certified Functional Hormone Specialist (IC-FHS), and Functional Blood Chemistry Specialist (FBCS). I am also a Chemical Engineer with a background in nutraceutical and pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Through my own health journey, I sought out resources from all avenues and did LOT of self-study and self-experimentation. I was also fortunate to work with some wonderful functional medicine practitioners, MDs and RDs. My perseverance has allowed me to take back my health and find my energy again. Along the way, I also learned how important it is to find balance in the way I approach food to feel and perform my best! I would love to help you too!

Throughout most of my 30’s I was a competitive cyclist (mostly road with some mountain biking for fun). I traveled throughout the Midwest to find large women’s fields because a small criterium field is just not nearly as fun! I trained a lot and pushed my body. Then in 2013, I decided to have a child and backed off the intensity to get pregnant.

I ended up having my son at 37 years of age and even as fit as I was, pregnancy took its toll. Not on my physique, but on my hormones! After I stopped nursing, I thought I might pass out in pain at the start of each cycle. It was not something I’d ever experienced before. I also battled debilitating fatigue. As awful as that was, it took me down a path of my own health journey and one where I wanted to learn more about holistic nutrition so I could help others. In November 2020 I completed a nutrition program with the NTA as a Nutrition Therapy Practitioner (NTP) and that was just the beginning. I have completed 3 additional functional lab trainings since then which have helped me support clients in finding the root cause quickly and avoid the struggles I did!

My focus is to help other maturing athletes who may be still competing but not feeling their best. Or, those who now enjoy their sport recreationally but want to support their bodies so they can continue to be active into their 90’s! Really, anyone who wants to stay active as they age and wants to holistically support their bodies and feel their best…women and men!

I would love to work with you and support you in achieving your health goals. Please see my “Work with Jamie” page for more information on my plans and packages. If you don’t see something you are looking for, I’d love to discuss, so please reach out and let’s chat!

In case you are wondering what’s with the name “Daily Bag of Goodness”… When my husband and I were starting to experiment with improving our diets, we did a cleanse and for 21 days. During that time, I prepared everything we ate. Each evening I created our lunch bags for the next day and my husband started lovingly referring to it as his “Daily Bag of Goodness”…hence the name.
